1.1. Scope
This Refund Policy (the "Policy") describes the terms and procedures for refunds for paid services provided on the LingoVerse platform (the "Service"). This Policy is an integral part of our Terms of Service and should be read in conjunction with them.
1.2. Access Model: Free Plan Instead of a Trial Period
We do not offer a traditional trial period. Instead, every new user gets access to a Free Plan to evaluate the key features of the Service.
1.3. LingoTokens for Feature Testing
The Free Plan provides each new user with a starter pack of 500 "LingoTokens"—our internal units for accessing AI features. Once the starter tokens are depleted, upgrading to one of the paid plans is required to continue using the platform.
1.4. One Free Plan Limit
The Free Plan is provided to a single user only once. Re-registering to obtain additional free LingoTokens is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in the suspension of all related accounts without the right to a refund.
2.1. General Rule
All subscription payments are final and non-refundable, except as expressly provided in this Policy.
2.2. Subscription Refund
We offer a full refund for your last monthly subscription payment if both of the following conditions are met:
a) You submitted a refund request within 14 calendar days of making that last payment.
b) You have not used any LingoTokens from the package provided for the period covered by that payment.
2.3. Clarification on Token Usage
If you use even one token after purchasing a subscription, your right to a refund as described in section 2.2 is voided.
2.4. What Is Not Refundable
The following payments and scenarios are not eligible for a refund:
a) Plan Change Payments. If you upgrade from one plan to another (e.g., from Student to Pro) and make a prorated payment, this payment is final. You gain immediate access to the new plan's benefits, and this service is considered rendered.
b) Partial Refunds for Unused Time or Tokens. We do not issue partial or prorated refunds. For example, if you have unused LingoTokens when you cancel your subscription, they cannot be exchanged for money, and the subscription itself will remain active until the end of the already paid monthly period.
2.5. Plan Change Procedure
a) Upgrade: If you switch to a more expensive plan mid-billing cycle, the system automatically calculates the cost. You will be charged a prorated amount—the price difference for the remaining days of the month, taking into account the amount already paid. You get immediate access to the new plan's benefits. This upgrade payment is final and non-refundable.
b) Downgrade: If you switch to a cheaper plan, no immediate charges or refunds occur. You will continue to enjoy the benefits of your current, more expensive plan until the end of the paid period. The new, cheaper plan will activate at the start of the next billing cycle. Partial refunds for the price difference are not provided.
2.6. Grounds for Refusing a Refund
We reserve the right to refuse a refund, even if the conditions described in section 2.2 are met, in the following cases:
a) Violation of Terms of Service: If we have reason to believe that your account was used in violation of our Terms of Service (e.g., for spam, fraudulent activities, or other prohibited conduct).
b) Suspicion of Fraud: If your refund request is part of a fraudulent scheme or abuse of our refund policy (e.g., repeated purchases and refunds from different accounts).
c) Sanctions Restrictions: If your payment was made in violation of sanctions restrictions, as described in our Terms of Service.

We may request additional information to verify your payment. Refund requests are processed within 5–7 business days.
4.1. Payment Processing
All payments and refunds are technically processed by our partner, Paddle.com Market Limited, which acts as the Merchant of Record for our services.
4.2. Method of Refund
Refunds are issued exclusively to the same payment method (credit card, PayPal, etc.) used for the original purchase.
4.3. Responsibility for Crediting Times
LingoVerse is not responsible for the time it takes for the funds to be credited by your bank or payment system after the refund has been approved and processed by Paddle.
4.4. No Influence on Refund Speed
LingoVerse also cannot expedite or guarantee the exact timing of the refund crediting after the request has been forwarded to Paddle and the customer's bank.
5.1. How to Cancel
You can cancel the automatic renewal of your subscription at any time in your profile settings, under the "Billing Settings" section.
5.2. Subscription Status After Cancellation
After cancellation, your subscription will remain active until the end of the already paid period. No new charges will be made.
5.3. No Refund After Cancellation
Canceling a subscription is not grounds for a refund for the current paid period.
We are exempt from liability for failure to fulfill refund obligations if it is the result of force majeure circumstances (e.g., global disruptions in payment systems, natural disasters, legislative acts of government authorities).
This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine. All disputes and disagreements shall be resolved in accordance with our Terms of Service.
We reserve the right to update this Policy. All changes take effect from the moment they are published on this page. We recommend that you periodically review it to stay informed of the current terms.
